Lyndsay

Lyndsay opened her meet with an outstanding swim in the 400m Freestyle, with a personal best time & bronze medal (her first State Medal). On Day 2 it was decided to scratch from the 200 Freestyle to concentrate on the 400IM, where she swam very well finishing slightly outside her personal best. Lyndsay finished the Meet with 7 personal bests out of 11 events, an outstanding effort from a great competitor.

Sarah

Sarah competed in 3 events at her first State Championships recording personal bests in all events. Sarah demonstrated her potential in her pet events in Backstroke with her underwater speed on show giving her a great advantage over her competitors. Sarah will continue her rapid improvement in these events and in the future will be one to watch.

Devon

Despite going into the meet with a nagging head cold and the disappointment of not recording a personal best on Day 1 Devon showed her true fighting abilities on the second day of competition recording a personal bests in all three events in which she competed, the highlight being the 200m Freestyle, where she surge from behind with a fast finish to record an almost 2’ personal best time.
